The impact of sustainability and climate change on Bavarian and Hungarian businesses

An inspiring plenary session and targeted 1:1 meetings on Tuesday, the 20th April 2021 - it all promises knowledge gain and new business contacts.

The aim of this event is to promote sustainability and environmental protection to help businesses to meet climate targets.  The Participants will be able to gain new professional and or business relations, to learn more about strategies and goals aiming at successful sustainability. Participants will also be informed of the actions governments, and businesses take to maintain a more sustainable supply chain. Join us and learn more about the Planet Budapest 2021 Sustainability Expo and Summit that is one of the most significant events dedicated to sustainability in Central Europe.

The match-making event brings together companies from both Bavaria and Hungary. This is a unique opportunity to generate new business contacts and contracts. Meetings will take place online, in virtual booths and will be arranged in advance by means of this website.

In addition to representing the interests of citizens, the Hungarian Consulate General in Munich focuses on the development of Bavarian-Hungarian economic relations. Of the German federal states, Bavaria is the state with which Hungary traditionally has the most vibrant foreign trade relations. With a trading volume of about 14.75 billion euros, about 2,300 Bavarian small and medium-sized enterprises with business relations with Hungary, and 140 large Bavarian companies are present in Hungary, and about 8 billion euros are being invested in the country, creating 49,000 jobs. Hungary is therefore always committed to a vibrant economic relationship with Bavaria.

HEPA Hungarian Export Promotion Agency Nonprofit, Inc. (HEPA) aims to provide professional services and incentives to Hungarian companies to launch their products and services abroad. It provides a wide range of services to facilitate the export activities of Hungarian companies in line with the goals specified in the National Export Strategy. It supports international trade relations through market research, business consultancy and export-oriented trainings. In addition to market-specific information, HEPA provides its partners with intercultural knowledge necessary for successful business operations, as well as assist them in exploring foreign market opportunities, and in identifying, developing and supporting internationally competitive Hungarian companies, products and services.

Mr. Heincz is currently also Program Director of the International Water Governance and Water Diplomacy Program at the National University of Public Service. Prior to becoming Head of Department, he served as the Head of Division and Water Coordinator for the Ministry. He also took part in the work of the Drafting Group of the Budapest Water Summit in 2013, 2016 and 2019. He worked as the diplomat responsible for EU and press affairs in the Embassy of Hungary in Madrid between 2008 and 2012. He has given numerous lectures in the field of water diplomacy and EU environmental policy.
