Eleven Hungarian food companies participated in the online supplier forum organised by HEPA Hungarian Export Promotion Agency with the aim of building future cooperation with the Portuguese-based international retail chain Jerónimo Martins.

The event, held on January 13, 2021, was opened by Deputy Secretary of State István Joó and HEPA CEO dr. Kristóf Szabó. Representing Jerónimo Martins' four-member delegation, the company's Chief Commercial Officer and Head of Corporate Relations, José António Nogueira de Brito greeted the Hungarian side.

The virtual supplier forum provided an excellent opportunity for the Hungarian companies to introduce themselves internationally and to establish new business relationships. The meetings between the Hungarian companies and the Portuguese retail chain covered several long shelf life and innovative food product lines.

The participating businesses - Márka Üdítőgyártó Kft., Tatár Pékség Kft., Prima Maroni Kft., Fino-food Kft., Felföldi Magyarország Zrt., Abonett Élelmiszergyártó és Kereskedelmi Kft., Detki Keksz Kft., Nébar Kft., Fevita Magyarország Zrt., Fitorex Kft., Virgin Oil Press Kft. - are confident that after a successful introduction, they will become a supplier partner of the multinational company and appear in new foreign markets with their competitive products.
