his year the International Fair of Tourism in Novi Sad is arranged for the 55th time, being one of the most important tourism events of the region, which will take place between the 28-30th of November. According to the cooperation agreement signed by Ikola Lovrić, Director of the Novi Sad Fair, and Andrea Nestor, Deputy CEO of the HEPA Hungarian Export Promotion Agency, Hungary has successfully obtained the event’s partner country status. The International Fair of Tourism in Novi Sad provides the perfect opportunity to gain information about trends and investment opportunities in the tourism sector, while the event can also serve as a platform for business networking.
The event was also attended by Bálint Juhász the president of the Assembly of the Autonomous province of Vojvodina: "If there is any country that Vojvodina and Serbia can look up to in terms of tourism, it is Hungary, with its 10 million tourists arriving in Budapest, which has regained its leading role among the Central and Eastern European countries as a leading tourist destination, but wine tourism, cycling tourism and spa tourism is also at an advanced level in Hungary."
Such events are particularly important as they provide an opportunity to contact with international economic actors and have the potential to boost Hungarian tourism and help the economic convergence of Vojvodina.
