One of the world’s leading education technology events, BETT UK (British Educational Training and Technology), was held at the ExCeL London exhibition centre between January 21 and 23, 2026. Over the three-day event, educators, school leaders, policymakers, and technology developers explored the latest digital learning solutions, AI-powered tools and innovative pedagogical approaches. Once again, the Hungarian EdTech sector successfully demonstrated its creativity and innovation on the international stage.
Since its launch in 1985, BETT has grown into one of the most important global forums for digital education. The 2026 edition featured more than 600 exhibitors and welcomed over 35,000 visitors from 130 countries. The programme included approximately 400 presentations, workshops and panel discussions, fostering professional inspiration, knowledge exchange and the development of international collaborations. A notable highlight was the newly introduced Ministerial Symposium program, which provided an excellent platform for dialogue among global education policy leaders.
As in previous years, HEPA Hungarian Export Promotion Agency (HEPA) participated with a unique Hungarian national stand, showcasing the best of Hungary’s EdTech ecosystem to the international audience. The stand was also visited by Judit Czakó, Hungary’s Foreign Trade Attaché in London, further strengthening the country’s international presence and professional network.

Maker’s Red Box competed in the Assessment Planning & Progress Monitoring category, while Darts Maths was nominated in the Collaboration with a School, College or University category.

According to the participating Hungarian companies, BETT UK 2026 provided an especially effective platform for business networking and for laying the groundwork for future international collaborations. Several exhibitors reported that they had received concrete inquiries and had already begun preliminary negotiations during the event.
They also highlighted that while immediate contract signings are less common due to the long decision cycles typical of the education market, personal presence significantly accelerated discussions and supported international market entry.
Overall, BETT UK 2026 offered an even more focused, collaboration-driven international platform than in previous years and further strengthened Hungary’s position within the global EdTech community.
