On the 15th of October, the most important diplomatic event of the year, the Budapest Water Summit 2019 opened its gates, to bring together the world's political decision makers, water professionals and funding institutions to address the global water crises and tackle problems related to water at the highest level.  More than 2300 participants registered from 118 countries to the three-day event.

On the margins of the Summit, HEPA co-organised the „The Digital and Nature-based Sustainable Solutions” Expo, where thirty exhibitors introduced solutions to solve problems caused by abundant, scarce and polluted waters. H.E. Mr János Áder, President of Hungary and Patron of the event also took a tour at the expo and visited all of the exhibitors to get familiar with the innovative and successful solutions of Hungarian companies.

As a unique addition to this year, a Matchmaking Event was also held today at the Expo with with overwhelming interest, over a hundred participants registered for the B2B event.
