What is particularly noteworthy is that Hungarian excellence has never been confined to a single industry or sector. This year’s featured companies clearly demonstrate that globally competitive, and in many cases market leading Hungarian innovations and solutions are emerging across a wide range of fields, from aviation technology and medical technology to agriculture and smart city development.
Each of the following eight companies tells a unique and inspiring story, a powerful testament to Hungarian ingenuity and entrepreneurial spirit.
77 Elektronika
Founded as a four-person family business, 77 Elektronika Ltd. has grown into one of the key players in Hungary’s healthcare industry over the past 40 years. The company developed one of the first blood glucose self-monitoring devices widely available in Hungary, the Dcont product family, which has now reached its 74th generation. Today, the company collaborates with major international partners including Menarini Diagnostics and Roche.
AlphaVet
Established in 1989, AlphaVet Ltd. is one of Hungary’s leading companies in veterinary medicine and agricultural technology. Its products, feed supplements and services are present across Central and Western Europe, thanks to the company’s commitment to outstanding quality, environmental awareness and sustainable operations.
Chameleon Smart Home
Founded in 2017, Chameleon Smart Home specializes in future-proof smart home systems, with products now available across Europe and North America. The company is particularly recognized for its apartment automation solutions, offering access control systems and smart residential technologies that combine security, convenience and flexibility.
Continest
Founded in 2019 and now present in more than 30 countries, Continest Plc. is an internationally recognized expert in foldable container systems. Its innovative solutions enable the rapid deployment of temporary offices, laboratories, hospital wards and classrooms, while also providing instantly deployable infrastructure in disaster situations. These containers also played an important role at the Olympic Games in Paris and Milan.
Kuube
With HEPA’s support, Kuube successfully entered international markets with its solar powered smart furniture solutions equipped with wireless charging, Wi-Fi connectivity, environmental sensors and other smart city features. Japan became the company’s first major milestone abroad, where both the technology and design impressed Yuriko Koike, Governor of Tokyo. Today, Kuube products can be found from Manila to Canada, and they have even attracted the attention of NASA.
Sanatmetal
As a family-owned business, Sanatmetal Ltd. is deeply committed to improving people’s quality of life. Headquartered in Eger, the company operates subsidiaries in Russia, Romania, South Africa and Türkiye. Its custom implants, prosthetics and diagnostic devices are developed in cooperation with internationally renowned physicians and are improving lives in dozens of countries worldwide.
Simnest Aviation
Simnest Aviation, part of the Simnest Group, is a leading developer and manufacturer of flight simulators. Its products are widely used across the European Union, Türkiye and Asia. For CEO Gyula Kühtreiber, pilot training is a true passion, backed by 35 years of airline industry experience and a deep understanding of the responsibility carried by aviation professionals.
Woodstock
Woodstock Ltd. is a major Hungarian producer and exporter of hybrid corn seed. Founded in 1989 and headquartered in Budapest, the company has been active on international markets from the very beginning. Its products are available in Russia, Belarus, Moldova and throughout the European Union, reflecting its strong commitment to quality and reliability.
