The Osaka World Expo 2025 opens up on April 13. About 30 million visitors are expected to attend the event. Most of those interested are expected to come from the most important source countries of global tourism, the East Asian region. That is why the message the pavilion presenting Hungary bears is particularly important, since its successful presentation serves not only to build the country's image but also to boost Hungarian tourist traffic.
In keeping with the spirit of Osaka, the closeness to nature and the human touch played an important role in the design of the Hungarian Pavilion.
One of the main elements of the facility is a multi-storey building symbolizing the forest, in which there is a restaurant promoting Hungarian gastronomy and wines, an exhibition space showcasing the products and services of Hungarian enterprises, as well as a conference room and a meeting room.
The other part of the building is a hay rick shaped wooden dome, which is a creative blend of the Hungarian peasant world and modern architecture. This dome is home to the main attraction of the Pavilion, the immersive theater space. The visitors of the room can get closer to the traditions we preserve by watching a live folk music production.
At the end of the exhibition space there is a gift shop where guests can take home a slice of Hungarian culture by purchasing typical Hungarian products and souvenirs.
