The Hungarian national stand received distinguished recognition at PRODEXPO, one of the world’s major food industry exhibitions, held from February 9-12 at Moscow’s Crocus Expo. As the largest food and beverage trade show in Russia and Eastern Europe, the event brought together representatives from 35 countries, hosted more than 2,000 exhibitors and attracted approximately 70,000 visitors.
Hungary’s presence was organized by HEPA Hungarian Export Promotion Agency, which operated a national stand where eight Hungarian companies showcased their products, held business negotiations and offered tasting opportunities that drew continuous interest.
Several prominent representatives of Hungarian gastronomy and beverage production participated. The Tokaj based Kardos Winery presented its long standing winemaking traditions, while the Villány based Bock Winery represented one of Hungary’s most internationally recognized family wineries. The lineup was further expanded by TOP WORLD Ltd., known for its hot chocolate, coffee and beverage powders, and Aqua Lorenzo Ltd., which manufactures mineral water, soft drinks and energy drinks at its modern bottling facility.
The health conscious segment was represented by Foodversum Inc., while Rona Hungary Commercial Ltd. showcased a diverse portfolio including tomato based products, specialty liqueurs, delicatessen items and healthy flour mixes. Premium confectionery was introduced by chocoMe Ltd., renowned for its artisanal chocolates and Pékmester Biscuits Ltd. contributed more than three decades of bakery and confectionery expertise.
The exhibition served as a key platform for identifying potential business partners and distributors, establishing new connections and preparing long term cooperation agreements. The eight Hungarian companies held a total of 224 business meetings, received numerous quotation requests and have already begun preparing several business offers. Discussions with potential distributors will continue after the event.
A highlight of the opening day was the visit of Sergey Katyrin, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, who personally toured the Hungarian stand. Norbert Konkoly, Hungary’s Ambassador to Moscow also attended the exhibition and held discussions with the participating companies.
Hungary concluded its participation with a strong professional presence, intensive negotiations and remarkable visitor interest. Based on the experience of PRODEXPO 2026, it is clear that the Hungarian food industry is steadily strengthening its international position and laying the groundwork for long term export growth.
